Dear Parents/Guardians of Charter Day School:

Thank you all for allowing us the opportunity and privilege of educating your children.  We understand the significance of this commitment and sincerely appreciate your decision.

As you know, Headmaster Jennifer Beamer is leaving us at the end of this month, and I will be taking over as the interim Headmaster.  Jennifer has done a wonderful job, and she will be greatly missed.  Please take the time over the next few weeks to thank  her for a job well done. Preliminary EOG scores indicate that, once again, your children turned in some of the highest scores of any school in the area.

Our board’s commitment to programs like Archery, Cheer, and others ensures that things won’t change just because there has been a change in leadership.  As always, it is our goal to provide you with the finest education possible as well as extracurricular activities that contribute to the making of a well-rounded individual with character development as the primary focus.

We are looking forward to a great 2012-2013 school year.  We are confronting the challenge of transitioning to the new “Common Core State Standards” mandated by the state, while we continue the successful implementation of the “Journeys” literacy program as well as the expansion of the rousing and popular Shurley grammar curriculum.

Kindergarten                8:00am-2:40pm

1^st Grade                        8:00am-3:00pm

2^nd and 3^rd Grade         8:00am-3:10pm

4^th and 5^th Grade           8:00am-3:20pm

Middle School             8:00am-3:30pm

 

Charter Day School’s Orientation will be on July 20, 2012

Kindergarten                8:30am-9:30am

1^st Grade                        9:30am-10:30am

2^nd and 3^rd Grade         10:00am-11:00am

4^th and 5^th Grade           11:30am-12:30pm

Middle School             10:00am-11:00am
